The Broad’s Family Weekend Workshops offer families activities and workshops to engage with the art and architecture of The Broad museum as well as with Chef Timothy Hollingsworth of Otium, the restaurant adjacent to the museum. Family Weekend Workshops are free, but have limited availability and entrance is not guaranteed without a reservation. Families who reserve tickets in advance will receive a wristband when they check-in onsite at the museum. Workshops and demonstrations are available to families with wristbands on a first come, first served basis. Family Weekend Workshop tickets do not include access to the Cindy Sherman: Imitation of Life special exhibition.

Remake yourself using some of the techniques applied by the artists in the Broad collections such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Barbara Kruger. You’ll take away a self-portrait.
Veil Yourself!
Become your own designer at this workshop and fashion a piece of art to wear. Inspired by the unique “veil” that is the signature characteristic of The Broad’s architecture, create a wearable piece of art.
Learn How to Think Like an Artist
Look at art like an artist and answer some of the same questions that artists ask themselves in their studios through creative thinking and writing.

Garden-to-Table Cooking for Families
Learn from Chef Timothy Hollingsworth of Otium restaurant how he uses fresh ingredients as culinary inspiration. With vegetables and herbs harvested from Otium’s onsite vertical garden, Hollingsworth will prepare some of your favorite dishes.
